It has been a nightmare this year and I want it to be over and done with.

At the latter part of last year and beginning of this year I was awaiting results for Lymphoma. Well I thankfully got the all clear from that. But the bad news was I got a diagnosis of Sjogrens Syndrome and it was attacking my tear ducts, salvia glands and my Parotid glands. They ache and hurt so much and I look like a hamster. I am now under an ENT Otolaryngology specialist and they have told me that I need to have an ultra sound on the parotid glands every year because there is a risk that in time they could turn to Lymphoma.

Feel like a ticking time bomb.

With all that going on I had still not been on my meds Enbrel and Mtx for nearly 18 months and only restarted them a month ago. I saw the ENT last thursday and he told me that I also have chronic sinuitis with sinus infection and he really wants me to be on antibiotics for 6 weeks but ofcourse that means I would have to be off my meds again for all that time. It does not help that I am allergic to so many antibiotics but the ones I can have cannot be taken with methotrexate. They are trying just a weeks course of Cephlaxen and some steriod drops and hoping this will give me some relief. So will be off the meds for another two weeks.

In between this I also got diagnosed with Diabetes type2 so I cannot even try some steriod shots to help with the RA because the diabetes not yet stable. My inflammation levels are through the roof and the RA is just getting worse and worse and I am in the wheelchair all the time. I am on oramorph which just spaces me out rather than take the pain off, I am allergic to anti-inflammatorys so limited with pain meds.

I am now thinking what the hell is next .... how can I be thatl unlucky to have Psoriatic Arthritis which progressed into Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Sjogrens Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and diabetes........ I just want my life back but I know that is not going to happen, so I need to get my head around that this is going to be it.

I am Lorna I have had RA for almost 3 years, was very ill in the beginning but having been on the triple meds I am much better now. You really have had a bad time but things are bound to start improving. Once your meds kick in you will see a difference, it is always hard at the start but you will get there. Chin up and try to focus on you will get better, you wont always be like you are now. Lorna

Gentle hugs such alot you been threw,there is hope light at end of it though may not seem that way.
i have ra,fibro lupus endometriois,heyfever,fibroids and currently same you chronic sinusistis also on celaflexin just finished them,tooth abscess now healed took 3 months.
you talk about i all need it helps in any way to share than keep things inside.

im not in wheelchair so that i wouldnt have clue how it feels can only say were here for you .
thats pain re drugs and allergies,steriod shots etc.

This heat does agrevate the swelling mkaes it more for us raers,nice to meet you.

Just wanted to say hello Belinda - what a horrible time you have had! I know how the swollen porotids can make you feel miserable. My initial diagnosis last year was sjogrens, then RA in Feb this year. The Sjogrens World website is very informative.

Hope you can get some relief for the sinuses and get your RA meds back on track soon. Thinking of you XX Ailsa

Hi Belinda no wonder your fed up ! i can relate to you as ive been fed up too, is there any one you can have a chat to some times its good to talk , i agree the oramorph does space you out, had a sinus infection last month , really hope yours can be treated soon and get you back on the meds asap , take care.

Oh Julie I know you are not saying this to be a martyr.

It does help to know that I am not alone, although I do wish you never had any of these problems.

I am on Amitriptyline 100mg at night, for depression and it is also for the nerve pain I have in my legs.

I understand the God bit .......My brother-in-law and Sister-in-law always say to me we are praying so hard for you to get better and I say to them please dont because then maybe he would forget about me and I would not keep getting everything.
